Dream Tottenham Line-up For 2018/19 Season Featuring

Mauricio Pochettino will have a big summer transfer window after failing to land silverware this season. He has a very talented squad at his disposal – a mix of youngsters and experienced professionals.

However, in order to win trophies, it is clear that he cannot rely on the current crop of players, although most of the players are of really high quality. There is a need to bring some match-winners into the squad and for that, Pochettino has to persuade chairman Daniel Levy to allot him substantial funds to spend in the summer.

That said, here is a dream Tottenham XI for next season.

Dream Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Hugo Lloris will have no harm to his spot despite being underwhelming this season. He has not been commanding and has had lapses of concentration on a number of occasions this campaign.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Aurier has had a mixed debut season so far with Spurs. An aggressive and attacking right-back, the Ivorian should bring consistency to his game in order to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI next season.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

One of the successful signings of the season, Sanchez has slotted in very well at Tottenham. A reliable presence at the back, the Colombian is a future star. The only aspect he needs to iron out from his game is his reckless nature of going for challenges.

Ryan Sessegnon

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

A true leader and mentor for all youth stars at Spurs, Vertonghen has been a beast down the years and he is set to keep his place in the starting XI next season.

Ryan Sessegnon (LB)

One of the hottest prospects in Championship football, Sessegnon has impressed everyone with his dazzling displays for Fulham this term. He is tailormade for Premier League and Tottenham should acquire his services at the end of the season. They have been linked with him already and the player is valued at £50m.

Eric Dier (CM)

Dier has been a permanent fixture in the Tottenham team this term. Capable of slotting in at central defence as well, the England international is one of the most important figures for Pochettino.

Amadou Diawara (CM)

Dembele has reached his 30’s and it is high time Pochettino thinks about a player capable of filling the boots of the Belgian. Napoli’s Amadou Diawara is the perfect fit for Tottenham as the Guinean would bring a lot of bite and energy to the midfield. A hard-tackler with good passing abilities, Diawara should move to Tottenham in the summer for achieving regular playing time.

Christian Eriksen (RW)

The architect of Spurs’ attacks, Eriksen is one of the vital cogs of the team’s engine. With him, they look different and without his presence, the same team looks toothless.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli continues to deliver the goods for the Lilywhites. He brings a different flair to the attack with his creativity and goals. He should retain his spot next season.

Harry Kane

Son Heung-min (LW)

Son has been one of the standout performers for the north London outfit this campaign. He has terrorised the defenders with his pace and trickery, evolving as a player this term. The South Korean will be aiming to end the season on a high note in order to keep his place in the first-team next season.

Harry Kane (ST)

The talismanic striker will continue to lead the attack for Spurs. There’s no doubt about it.
