Dream Manchester United XI Featuring Red Devils’ Top Transfer Targets

The Red Devils have had a good start to the season sitting 2nd in the table with 6 wins in 8 games. Jose Mourinho’s men have been resolute in defence and a major threat going forward. Although the current side has been doing a great job so far, a few additions to the squad could make Manchester United an unbeatable side.

Here is a possible Dream XI comprising of players recently linked with the Red Devils.

Manchester United Transfer Rumours XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jose Mourinho

David de Gea (GK)

Despite the rumours almost always suggesting a move to Real Madrid, the Spanish shot-stopper looks happy to remain at Old Trafford. Having won almost every piece of silverware at the club, the one that still eludes the 26-year-old is the Champions League, and De Gea will surely stay put until he lifts it in Man United colours.

Antonio Valencia (RB)

The Ecuador right-back has been outstanding for the Red Devils since the arrival of Mourinho and has been consistent with his performances. Despite being 32, Valencia hasn’t lost his touch. Matteo Darmian hasn’t exactly been a great competition for the veteran defender.

Eric Bailly (CB)

The 23-year-old is easily the best central defender in the Manchester United squad and of the clubs best signings. With one season under his belt already, Bailly will only get better for the Red Devils.

Eric Bailly

Victor Lindelof (CB)

A lot of money was spent on bringing in the Swedish centre-back from Benfica in the summer, however, the 23-year-old is yet to play a single Premier League game this season. Keeping the future in mind, Phil Jones could make way for the youngster post-January.

Danny Rose (LB)

With Ben Davies excelling in his absence, Danny Rose will find it hard to make his way back into the Tottenham first-team when he recovers. Add to that, his comments about wanting to leave Spurs could see him end up at Manchester United. The English left-back is definitely a talent and can be an excellent addition the side for the reported fee of £50m.

Leon Goretzka (CM)

Despite being a deep-lying midfielder at Schalke, the 22-year-old has the ability to score goals regularly. Goretzka has been sensational for his national side and is only going to get better with time. He is nearing the end of his contract with Schalke and the Red Devils should seriously consider a bid.

Ivan Rakitic (CM)

The Croatian midfielder has fallen out of favour at Barcelona and the departure of Luis Enrique hasn’t exactly done him any favours. The Red Devils could reportedly broker a deal which could see the 29-year-old be swapped for Anthony Martial.

Ivan Rakitic

Paul Pogba (CAM)

After spending almost a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, the Frenchman should be a regular in the side by the January. Pogba looked in good form having scored 2 goals in 4 games in the Premier League.

Juan Mata (RW)

The Spaniard is definitely enjoying his role out wide giving him the freedom to cut inside and create chances for his side. The 29-year-old has been a real driving force for his side and is getting better in his new position.

Marcus Rashford (LW)

With 5 goals and 4 assists in 11 appearances, Rashford is punching above his weight at Manchester United and is showing no signs of slowing down. The young English forward certainly has a bright future ahead of him.

Romelu Lukaku (ST)

The Belgian has done everything right so far at Old Trafford as he continues to rack up the goals for Manchester United. The Red Devils can’t find a better striker than Lukaku even if they want one.
