Match Report and Liverpool twitter reactions after Crystal Palace game

Liverpool continue their charge in the Premier League with a pulsating 4-3 win over Crystal Palace at a nervy Anfield. The victory keeps Jurgen Klopp’s men seven points clear of Manchester City, who play tomorrow at manager-less Huddersfield Town.

Palace took the lead in the first half after Wilfried Zaha got the better of James Milner, who was playing at right-back. The winger then had the quality to find Andros Townsend with a cutback and the latter scored.

The Reds equalised seconds after half-time when a Virgil van Dijk shot got a wicked deflection, and the ball fell kindly into the path of Mohamed Salah, who manufactured a good finish. The home side took the lead when Roberto Firmino found some space inside the box and his shot took a little deflection to beat veteran Julian Speroni.

The Eagles recovered back to make it 2-2 when James Tomkins rose from the corner and headed the ball towards the far post. Liverpool got ahead again, when Milner’s ball across the ball forced Speroni into a howler, who handed Salah a goal.

Milner then got the second yellow card after two mistimed tackles on Zaha. However, Liverpool scored their fourth when Sadio Mane found some space on the left side and scored a very good goal. Max Meyer netted with a minute to go though, to make the last seconds very interesting.

At the end of the day, a nervy and tight win for the Reds, who just about got the job done.

Here’s how the Liverpool fans reacted on twitter after this thrilling game:
