Chelsea vs West Ham Report – Chelsea Match Report

Eden Hazard ran the show at Stamford Bridge to help Chelsea beat West Ham 2-0 and go up to third in the league table. The Belgian star scored both the goals in a game where the Blues should have netted more and make this scoreline look more comfortable.

After the home side wasted a good chance via Cesar Azpilicueta, Hazard came to life in the 24th minute. The diminutive winger picked up possession inside the West Ham half and went past five players to score a fantastic individual goal.

He then had the confidence to set up a chance for Gonzalo Higuain with a chip ball but the Argentine only managed to hit the post with his effort.

Fabian Balbuena kept the visitors in the game with a goal-saving tackle on Higuain at the stroke of half-time.

West Ham were slightly better after the break and had a couple of decent chances, especially the one for Aaron Cresswell. But their efforts went inches wide.

Hazard wrapped up the points for his team with a great finish from a tight angle in the 90th minute. He was well-found by Ross Barkley with a ball over the top of the Hammers defence.

All in all, a comfortable win for Maurizio Sarri’s men, who are now third in the table, two points ahead of fourth-placed Tottenham, having played a game more.

Here’s how their fans reacted after this game:
