There’s been a twist in the Juan Cuadrado to Juventus transfer, according to Italy’s Calciomercato. It’s claimed that Chelsea and Juventus are set to agree a fee for the Colombian international and the fee was expected to be somewhere between €20m and €22m, with each club obviously trying to get the best deal for themselves.
Cuadrado’s focus is to stay where he is as he excelled in Italian football with Fiorentina and then just couldn’t settle in England with Chelsea before returning to Italy and doing well for the Serie A Champions Juventus.
However, Calciomercato say that Juventus are not absolutely convinced on a transfer, they’d rather wait and see what happens. They want to agree a fee with Chelsea but then hold on to that until the end of the season, and see what the situation is then.
The 27-year-old Colombian has been easily one of their best players so far this season. The club’s supporters would be furious if he wasn’t signed up. So, these claims might just well be a negotiating tactic.
