Chelsea player Christian Atsu is yet again heading on a loan deal to Spanish side Malaga. Atsu has been spending his most recent playing career away from his parent club Chelsea.
The player moved to Chelsea in 2013 from Porto and has since then spent his time in other clubs like Everton and Bournemouth, for his development. However his loan spell with Bournemouth (the most recent) did not go as expected meaning the Blues had to call him back before the loan period got over.
As such Atsu has played only a handful of games in England after playing most of his season at Vitesse in Holland. Reports suggest that Rayo Vallecano and Levante were also desperately trying to sign the player, however Malaga beat both the clubs and signed the player as the club guaranteed more game time for the player in the first-team.
“Spanish football will suit me,” Atsu told BBC Sport during his discussions with Levante.
“A player should be able to play in any league but right now it’s not what suits you or doesn’t suit you it’s where I will get time to play.”
