Crystal Palace Football Club was founded at the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building in 1905.
Crystal Palace played at the FA Cup Final stadium during their earlier years.
After the outbreak of the First World War, the club were forced to leave it in 1915. They eventually moved to their current home at Selhurst Park in 1924.
Palace, nicknamed “the Eagles” or “the Glaziers”, have been second-tier champions twice and hold the record for the most playoff wins.
They have reached the FA Cup final twice and finished runners-up to Manchester United on both occasions in 1990 and 2016.
Palace is co-owned by Steve Parish, Joshua Harris and David Blitzer.
Jim Cannon holds the record for Crystal Palace appearances, having played 660 first-team matches.
Peter Simpson is their all-time leading goalscorer with 165 goals.
Currently, the club is managed by former England manager Roy Hodgson.
