Predicted West Ham United Lineup To Face Burnley

West Ham United will square off against Burnley in their final game of the Premier League on Sunday afternoon at the Turf Moor.

The Hammers have had a disappointing campaign after an excellent year last time around and manager Slaven Bilic is under pressure to deliver a positive result in the final game of the season, with his job under threat. West Ham are 12th in the table and come into the game following a 4-0 thrashing at home by Liverpool. They will be hell-bent on ending the season on a winning note.

Team News

Slaven Bilic will be without the services of Mark Noble who recently underwent a keyhole surgery. Fellow midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is also set to miss out due to a wrist problem that needs surgery while defender Arthur Masuaku is a doubt as well with a foot problem, along with striker Andy Carroll. Diafra Sakho, Michail Antonio, Gokhan Tore and Pedro Obiang have been ruled out for the season.

Probable West Ham United Starting XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Slaven Bilic

Adrian (GK)

The Hammers’ goal will be manned by their Spanish shot-stopper Adrian ahead of Darren Randolph and he’ll be keen on doing well.

Jose Fonte (CB)

The January arrival is yet to settle completely at the London Stadium. Will have to deal with the physical threat of the Burnley forwards.

Winston Reid (CB)

A consistent performer for West Ham, the captain will be determined to bounce back with a strong display after the Liverpool mauling.

James Collins (CB)

The back three will be completed by veteran defender James Collins. Will be tasked to contend with Ashley Barnes.

Sam Byram (RM)

The 23-year old will look to support his team going forward from the right flank while preventing the Burnley wingers from threatening.

Edimilson Fernandes (CM)

With Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyate both unavailable, Bilic will have to stick with young Edimilson Fernandes in the middle of the park.

Havard Nordtveit (CM)

Fernandes will be partnered by summer signing Havard Nordtveit. Hasn’t been the best of the debut campaigns, but a strong performance on Sunday should help.

Aaron Cresswell (LM)

The spot on the left flank will be taken up by the impressive Aaron Cresswell. Has the ability to cause some problems to the Clarets while getting forward.

Andre Ayew (RAM)

The Ghanaian has managed to score just once in the last 8 league games. Needs to do more in the attack, with his team struggling for goals.

Manuel Lanzini (LAM)

Hammers’ best player of the season, Lanzini has been the only bright spark of the campaign. Will be the key man for West Ham to come away with a positive result.

Ashley Fletcher (ST)

With Andy Carroll still not ready for action, Bilic has been left with just Jonathan Calleri and Ashley Fletcher as his options up front. Neither of them have looked like scoring, but having tried Calleri against Liverpool, he might give Fletcher a chance on Sunday.
