Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen are now preparing a £7m bid move for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, as per claims. The 25-year-old France international has not made a single appearance this season for the Reds yet, despite regaining full fitness and there are still speculations going around surrounding his future at Anfield.
Apart from the German outfit, Serie A giants Roma were also interested in acquiring the 25-year-old superstar’s services but signed Antonio Rudiger after failing to agree a deal with the Merseyside club.
However, Brendan Rodger’s side can now expect a renewed offer from Germany, with the club interested in signing the former PSG star. L’Equipe added that the club from Germany are monitoring the Frenchman’s progress and are ready to pay a fee of £7m to complete a move.
Though Sakho is happy at Liverpool, his desperation to make it into France’s squad for next summer’s European Championships could see him leave the Premier League for first team football.
