Predicted Bournemouth line-up to face Levante in pre-season friendly

Bournemouth will continue their preparations for the next season with a friendly encounter against Spanish La Liga outfit Levante on Friday.

The Cherries kicked off their pre-season, playing out a 1-1 draw against Sevilla this past weekend. And manager Eddie Howe will be hoping that his side builds on that display against the Spanish club and goes one better to pick up a victory against Levante next time out.

Ahead of the game, let’s take a look as to how Bournemouth could line up against the Andalusian outfit on Friday.

Probable Bournemouth XI

Manager: Eddie Howe

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Asmir Begovic (GK)

The Bosnian goalkeeper should once again feature from the start on Friday, ahead of veteran stopper Artur Boruc.

Steve Cook (CB)

The Englishman has been a key part of this Bournemouth side over the past couple of seasons and will look to get into a good rhythm before the new season kicks off.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake (CB)

The former Chelsea defender has established himself as a mainstay at the back for the Cherries, despite his young age. A definite starter against the Spaniards.

Tyrone Mings (CB)

The 25-year-old did not start the last game against Sevilla but made a substitute appearance in the second half. Should find himself in the starting XI on Friday.

Jordon Ibe (RWB)

Bournemouth’s hero from the last game, the former Liverpool man scored the equaliser against Sevilla and impressed in an unnatural wing-back role. Should start against Levante.

Emerson Hyndman (CM)

The USMNT midfielder has been tipped for a bright future. A strong pre-season could see him nail down a starting berth in Howe’s line-up when the season starts.

Lewis Cook

Lewis Cook (CM)

Partnering Hyndman in the middle of the park should be highly-rated English midfielder, Lewis Cook. The 21-year-old impressed last season and will be hoping to carry on, in the same manner, this time out as well.

Charlie Daniels (LWB)

On the left-hand side, the ever-present Charlie Daniels is expected to feature from the get-go once again when the Cherries face the Spanish outfit.

David Brooks (RAM)

The 21-year-old new arrival showed glimpses of his potential in the first game against Sevilla and should get a start once again on Friday.

Joshua King

Joshua King (LAM)

The Norwegian forward is likely to continue alongside the young Brooks in the attacking midfield areas for the South Coast club.

Callum Wilson (ST)

Up front, 26-year-old Callum Wilson is likely to get the nod ahead of fellow countryman and veteran striker Jermain Defoe once again.

Raghavendra Goudar

Mechanical Engineer, avid reader and a football fanatic.
