Britos Returns, Gray Starts – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Watford Line-up To Face West Brom In The PL

Predicted Watford Line-up To Face West Bromwich Albion

Watford travel to the Hawthorns this weekend to face Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion. The Hornets are off to a flyer this season as they are currently placed 6th in the Premier League table with 11 points from 6 games (3 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss).

They’ll surely be confident coming into the game as they beat Swansea last weekend, 2-1 away from home. West Brom, on the other hand, lost to Arsenal on Monday night and will be looking to bounce back from that hard defeat.

I expect both the teams to go for a win given that it is so early in the season. Watford boss Silva will be happy with the way his team is playing this season and he wouldn’t want to let the momentum go.

However, I predict a draw on Saturday.

Team News

Sebastian Prödl, Younès Kaboul and Craig Cathcart are all out injured, while Miguel Britos makes a welcome return from suspension this weekend. Nathaniel Chalobah is injured and is set to undergo a surgery.

Here’s how Watford might line up against West Bromwich Albion:

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marco Silva

Heurelho Gomes (GK)

Gomes is Silva’s first choice stopper and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t start this game against West Brom.

Daryl Janmaat (RB)

Janmaat might be given a chance to start this game as he has made just 3 appearances this season. He should look to make use of the chance if he gets one.

Christian Kabelese (CB)

With Britos returning after his suspension, one of Mariappa or Kabalese has to make way. I think Silva might stick with Kabelese for this game.

Miguel Britos (CB)

Britos’ presence would be vital for Watford in this game as Pulis’ sides are known for their aerial prowess. His commanding presence is necessary for Watford to continue their good run.

Jose Holebas (LB)

Holebas has been a regular at left-back this season and should continue to feature there against West Brom as well.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM)

Doucoure has made a good start to the season and Silva seems to trust this guy. He’s scored a couple of goals for the Hornets and should start this game.

Etienne Capoue

Etienne Capoue (CM)

Capoue has started just 2 games this season and has 2 goals to his name. He’s such an important player for this Watford side and should feature against the Baggies from the get-go.

Tom Cleverley (CAM)

Cleverley should start as the No.10, behind the striker. He’s made 7 appearances this season so far and his creativity will decide Watford’s attacking prowess.

Andre Carrillo (RW)

Carrillo started Watford’s game against Swansea and should feature against West Brom as well. Expect him to continue on the right wing.

Richarlison

Andre Gray (ST)

Gray seems to be Silva’s preferred choice with Deeney playing second fiddle. Gray should start this game ahead of Deeney.

Richarlison de Andrade (LW)

What a start this guy has had in England! Richarlison has raised eyebrows with his performances this season so far and should start on the left wing.
