Liverpool are currently undergoing a defensive crisis. After releasing Toure and Skrtel the Reds have three of their main defenders injured and Jurgen Klopp is continuously looking for reinforcement.
Recently the Reds were linked with a move for AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio but according to CalcioMercato, they have hit a roadblock. According to the reports from the Italian media, the Reds’ offer of £16 million for the Italian defender has been rejected by AC Milan. The report further reveals that the rejection did not come from the club level but rather from the player himself. Apparently, Napoli to are interested in signing the player but De Sciglio is only interested in joining Juventus. Otherwise, he is happy to stay and play for AC Milan.
Sakho, Gomez and Lucas are injured in the Liverpool team and Jurgen Klopp will need to add some defenders if the Reds are to start the next season on a strong note.
