Another Blow? Liverpool’s Brazilian Target Decides On His Future

Share

Liverpool have reportedly failed to land one of their main attacking target Luan Vieira.

The player, currently with Gremio, has scored 17 goals for the club last season and will participate in the Olympics this year. Leicester have also been linked with the player but apparently, Liverpool were the first to observe him, having scouted him several times last season.

According to the reports Vieira has rejected an approach from Liverpool because he is more inclined to join Barcelona after the Olympics. The deal with the Catalan club is not yet complete as the player is participating in the Olympics and further discussions between Gremio and Barcelona will take place only after the tournament is over.

Liverpool has been pretty busy this transfer window with several players already on board. Sadio Mane, Wijnaldum, Ragnar Klavan, Loris Karius and Alex Manninger have already joined the squad but Klopp is still looking to strengthen further.
