Premier League champions Chelsea have told Tottenham to put forward their asking price for defensive superstar Danny Rose, according to reports. Manager Jose Mourinho is looking to add more quality to his back-line, especially a left-back this summer, after Brazilian international Filipe Luis returned to former club Atletico Madrid last week.
Though at present the west London side are set to complete a £17.5m deal for Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman, the Daily Mirror states that Chelsea want to add yet another left-back before the transfer window closes and Rose is a key target.
The Portuguese manager will not be happy with his defence, after losing out to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in the Community Shield match on Sunday. Due to this, Chelsea have told Spurs to name their price for the player with Mourinho looking to push a deal through.
Chelsea do not mind spending around £15m on the 25-year old defender this summer, though are hoping to get a deal done by Saturday.
