Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are finally set to sign Schalke star Julian Draxler as they are ready to meet £37 million release clause that is present in the German star’s contract.
Even though Arsenal bought big money players like Mesut Ozil, and Alexis Sanchez in last two transfer windows, they are still lacking some attacking instinct in the squad. In their last game against Chelsea, Arsenal didn’t even manage to hit a single shot on target. Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil (injured now) is really struggling to settle in the premier league. Shockingly, stats reveal that Arsenal perform better without Mesut Ozil in the pitch. They have a 56.2% winning percentage with the German star and 61.5% percentage without him.
According to Anthony Chapman of the Express, Arsenal are now considering Julian Draxler as a replacement for Mesut Ozil.
In his recent news article, he wrote,
“Arsenal will match Julian Draxler‘s £37million Schalke release clause after growing frustrated with club-record signing Mesut Ozil.”
Defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also in the race to sign the rising star from Schalke. Few months back, Draxler refused to rule out a move to Bayern.

“Look at what happened with Manuel Neuer. He was 100 per cent convinced that he would never join FC Bayern but, after having played as a pro for five years, time made him change his opinion.

“And when you rule something out entirely and you end up playing where most people don’t want you to be, the outcry is huge.”
