Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Brentford in the Championship

After regaining their top spot in the table, Leeds United now face Brentford on Saturday at Elland Road to keep hold of their position. Marcelo Bielsa’s men are coming into this on the back of a good 1-0 win away to Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

Now they face a Brentford side who have lost momentum in the last few games after starting the season fantastically. The Bees are just five points behind the Peacocks, at 6th place in the table. Hence, it is not going to be an easy game for the home team.

Team News

Gaetano Berardi, Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Pablo Hernandez are long-term absentees for Leeds. It is a blow because at least three of them are regular starters.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The youngster is growing in confidence and is now starting to show his potential.

Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling (RB)

He has been one of the key performers in the team. His runs up and down the pitch are vital.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The skipper has been good at the back, leading the team in the right manner.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The Swedish international’s defending is no doubt very good, however, his passing from the back can be twitchy at times.

Barry Douglas (LB)

The new summer signing has failed to really perform at a consistent level. Bielsa would want more from him.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

One of the key players in the Leeds team. Given the system the manager deploys, Phillips is necessary for shielding the back-line.

Mateusz Klich (RAM)

After a dip in form, Klich has regained his lost touch and looks good again.

Samuel Saiz (LAM)

The Spaniard began the season well but his recent performances have been a bit below par. He is still a dangerous player.

Samuel Saiz

Jack Harrison (RW)

In the absence of Hernandez, it was always going to be difficult for Harrison to replace him. The youngster has lacked the final product in his game. Bielsa would hope for more.

Ezgjan Alioski (LW)

The Macedonian is totally out of form. He certainly is walking on a tightrope now. One bad show and he might be out of the team.

Tyler Roberts (ST)

Scored a good goal against Hull and looks good with and without the ball.
