Average Pudil, Encouraging Dawson – The best and the worst rated Sheffield Wednesday players vs Wolves

Full Time: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wolves failed in their attempt to reach 100 points at the top of the Championship with a draw in the game at home to Sheffield Wednesday. In the first-half, Sheffield Wednesday had most of the ball and kept the Champions at bay although Afobe and Saiss went close for the home side.

Wolves continued to press in the second half but Sheffield Wednesday came away with an impressive point. Perhaps the Wolves players were distracted by the thought of the Championship trophy being presented at the end of the game.

Sheffield Wednesday Player Ratings

Cameron Dawson – 7.5

Frederico Venâncio – 6.5

Kept possession well as a part of the back-three and won the aerial battles.

Tom Lees – 7

Put a lot of hard tackles in and kept Benik Afobe at bay. An impressive performance from the former Leeds defender.

An assured performance at the back by Pudil. Put in several important tackles to break up the Wolves attacks.

Jordan Thorniley – 6.5

Barry Bannan – 6.5

The Scotsman had a high pass completion percentage of 86% and was able to break up the play quite effectively.

Adam Reach – 7.5

The former Boro player was a threat down the right-hand side and was one of the better forward players for Wednesday.

Adam Reach

Fernando Forestieri 6.5

The Argentinian forward had a good game but he would have liked to grab a goal against the best defence in the league.

Atdhe Nuhiu has only managed 8 goals in the league this season and he wasn’t able to add to his tally here.

Lucas João – 6.5
