It seems goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who is on loan with Serie A side AS Roma at the moment has no interest in making his loan move a permanent one, once the current campaign ends. The Poland international is at the moment in Rome, after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates. Although he was sent away by the north London club in the summer transfer window, he is hoping to return to Arsene Wenger’s side soon.
The 25-year-old superstar was the French manager’s first-choice keeper during the 2014/15 season, before certain incidents on and off the pitch cost him his place in the starting eleven. Further, Szczesny was replaced by Colombian international David Ospina, who did a superb job for the remaining Premier League and Champions League games, leaving the Pole to play merely the FA Cup matches, though the Gunners retained that title.
However, Wenger added Petr Cech to his squad from London rivals Chelsea, who immediately became the club’s first choice, which left Szczesny no choice but to move away fro regular action.
Despite that, it seems he is eyeing a return to the club soon and hopefully things work out for him well.
