Arsenal opinion: Arsenal should do everything they can to sign Dani Ceballos

According to reports from English news outlet the Metro, Arsenal are very interested in bringing Dani Ceballos to the Premier League. The North London side are looking for reinforcements and believe that the Real Madrid man is just the way forward. That should come as little surprise, given the way the 22-year-old is tearing up the U-21 World Cup right now.

It seems that his sheer skill and talent is far more than what anyone can handle, with Ceballos arguably one of the tournament’s best players already. Not just that, if Ceballos wasn’t at Real Madrid after his performances right now, the 22-year-old would rightfully earn a move to Real Madrid.

That’s just how well he has been playing over the last few years and it’s shocking that Real Madrid even want to let a player like him go. But one man’s loss is another’s gain, which is why Arsenal have to take full advantage.

The North London side have already lost Aaron Ramsey and with Granit Xhaka linked to Atletico Madrid, things might get difficult. However, that’s where Dani Ceballos walks in.

The former Sevilla and Valencia boss knows just how well the young midfielder can play, having watched him play over the course of his career in Spain.

He’s transformed into a rather splendid midfield maestro and someone that brings about memories of a certain Santi Cazorla. While the Villareal man will forever remain in the hearts of Arsenal fans, Ceballos will help ease the pain of the club letting him go for free.

Suited to play either a possession-based or pressing style, Ceballos is the best of both worlds. Ceballos is an adept defender and his passing is second to none. With an innate ability to spot a teammate and then find them from nearly anywhere on the pitch, Ceballos’ creativity and close control make him the perfect number 8 for Arsenal.

He may not contribute with too many goals but as the summer has proven, he’s more than adept from a dead-ball situation. That will allow him to slightly pump up his numbers at Arsenal, given that the Gunners lack a bonafide dead-ball specialist since a certain diminutive Spaniard left the club.

Conclusion

Things are changing at Arsenal but that isn’t happening fast enough. The summer window does afford them a wide array of possibilities but they need to grab hold of that before someone else decides to walk away with everything. It’s exactly why winning the race for Dani Ceballos will prove that Arsenal are still a force of nature on the field and in the transfer market.
