After the Suarez saga, Arsene Wenger is back with yet another chase for a Liverpool striker. The Sunday People (cited by Dailystar) have claimed that Wenger, who is not too happy with his striking options available at his disposal is ready to add some muscle to his line up by signing Daniel Sturridge.
The 26-year old, who is back amongst the goals after recovering from long term injuries would strengthen the Gunners side. While, Liverpool might not be keen to part ways with their main striker, a bid in excess of £30m would make them reconsider their options.
Sturridge has scored 12 goals in 23 appearances for his side, despite his season being curtailed by injuries. And despite being praised by Klopp, Sturridge would welcome a move away from Anfield to experience a new challenge. However, it will all come down to Wenger loosening his purse in the summer in order to land the man as the mentioned fee of GBP 30 Million is way too low to land a man of Sturridge’s caliber.
