Ten time European champions Real Madrid could be on the verge of losing their French striker Karim Benzema to Premier League giants Arsenal this summer, according to claims. It is further being said that the La Liga outfit are already looking for potential replacements for the French striker. The Metro suggested that the Gunners will have to spend big in order to sign the player which could be around £50m.
Though the 27 year old striker has an impressive scoring record with Real, the club are willing to cash in on him with the hopes of signing Alvaro Morata, Fernando Llorente or Sergio Aguero as a potential replacement.
The north London side have just completed the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea till now for £11m and retained their Community Shield title on Sunday.
Benzema could be the right man for Wenger, though he does have Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott, who do provide some much needed quality as well.
However, the former Lyon star can be a great addition to the Arsenal squad and Arsene Wenger will be keen on signing the Frenchman this summer to bolster his attack and pose a challenge for the title.
