Let’s put the Napoli game behind us and look forward to Arsenal’s Premier League clash against West Brom this Sunday. The Gunners will travel to the Hawthorns to try and maintain their momentum against a West Brom side which defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford.

However the way Arsenal play at the moment, they might destroy whatever that comes in their way. Arsenal stand at the top of the table two points clear of Liverpool and Tottenham, but will go down as the Reds play on Saturday. A win against West Brom will help them maintain the top spot going into the season’s second International break next week.

As far as the team news is concerned, Arsene Wenger will have a couple of selection headaches as Mikel Arteta and Thomas Rosicky who have returned to the first team and played brilliantly against Napoli knocking on Wenger’s door straight away. Talking to the club’s official site, Wenger gave an injury update yesterday. He said:

“The only uncertainty we have could be Bacary Sagna who had a little hamstring problem,” Wenger told Arsenal’s website. “He has a scan today [Thursday] and from then on we will assess his situation.

“Everybody else came out of the Napoli game without a major problem so they should all be available.”

On Cazorla – “He is not in contention [for Sunday’s match] but he could be not far after the international break.”

On striker Yaya Sanogo – “He is on a good way after his back problem. He will be the same, after the international break.”

If Sagna misses the game, Jenkinson could get another opportunity to impress down the right hand side. Elsewhere it will be interesting to see what Wenger does on the flanks. Serge Gnabry who has been playing on the right in the absence of Walcott and Alex-OX might have another chance this Sunday, but Wenger deployed Ramsey on the right and Rosicky on the left in the Champions League where both the midfielders thrived tempting the French man to stick with the same formation.

Also in the central midfield, Wenger has Arteta who performed brilliantly against Napoli alongside Flamini who has been relentless since the start of the season. So leaving anyone out is a difficult ask. And then there is Jack Wilshere who was benched in the midweek game and will be available with a fresh set of legs.

So here is a possible starting XI that Wenger might deploy:
