David Ospina- 7/10

David Ospina did a decent job under the post. Except for a few attempts from the Liverpool attackers in the first half, Ospina remained untested for the entire. He only conceded a penalty goal, but his attempt was commendable as he had almost reached the ball.

Hector Bellerin- 8/10

The Spanish youngster had a dream day at the office as he scored the opening goal of the match. After receiving a pass from Aaron Ramsey the young right back dribbled past one Liverpool defender and beautifully curled a shot which went past Simon Mignolet. His defending was also impressive except for one mistake when gave away penalty fouling Raheem Sterling inside the box in a nasty way.

Per Mertesacker- 7/10

Per Mertesacker was firm at the back line and protected the goal superbly. He successfully kept the attacking trio of Liverpool, Coutinho, Sterling and Markovic under check and did not allow them any room inside the box.

Laurent Koscielny- 7/10

Laurent Koscielny played only in the first half. He was replaced by Gabriel Paulista in the beginning of the second half. The French defender had a decent outing and partnered Mertesacker well in the first half to protect the Arsenal goal. He was successful in his endeavor.         

Nacho Monreal- 7/10

Generally, when a team wins by a convincing margin, the defenders have a good day at the office. They perform well. Nacho Monreal was no exception. Just like his fellow defenders he too did a commendable service in the backline.

Francis Coquelin- 7.5/10

Francis Coquelin played well in the match and remained firm in the holding midfield position. He successfully kept strict vigilance on the Liverpool midfielders and did not allow them to impose much threat and create chances.

Aaron Ramsey- 8/10

Aaron Ramsey was good as usual. He created the move for the first goal of Hector Bellerin. He was flawless in the midfield and performed his job of a central midfielder without a single error. At the ending moments of the match he was substituted due to a knock during a midfield battle.

Alexis Sanchez- 9/10

He is the man behind Arsenal’s success story this season. Alexis Sanchez performs day in and day out for the club. Liverpool game was no exception as the Chilean had a wonderful game and also scored a screamer at the stroke of half time.

Mesut Ozil- 8.5/10

Mesut Ozil is slowly regaining his old form. He had a terrific outing on Saturday and also scored an impeccable goal from free-kick. He also created quite a few chances. His vision was exceptional.

Santi Cazorla- 8/10

The little Spaniard silently played a pivotal role in the midfield. He often switched position with Aaron Ramsey. He supported Coquelin well in the central midfield area and also supported upfront.

Olivier Giroud- 8/10

Olivier Giroud was the best player of the Premier League last month for his fine performances. His form continued as he imposed constant threat on the Liverpool’s defense. His constant efforts in front of the goal finally yielded him a goal in latter stages of the game.

Substitutes

Gabriel Paulista- 6.5/10

Gabriel Paulista replaced Laurent Koscielny in the central defense in the second half. Paulista had an average outing and did a fairly good job.

Mathieu Flamini- 6.5/10

Mathieu Flamini replaced Aaron Ramsey in the latter stages of the second half. He played a cameo role in the midfield and was fairly successful.

Danny Welbeck- 6.5/10

Danny Welbeck replaced the crafty Mesut Ozil in the second half. Welbeck’s speedy runs were very useful in the last stages of the game and could have yielded the team a fifth goal.
