This will be the most brilliant picture that was ever clicked of Jack Wilshere. It was taken by a fan during the Villa game and posted on twitter.
Seems like the almighty wanted Arsenal and Jack WIlshere to be on the winning side on Saturday and the picture pretty much sums up Arsenal at the moment. The picture has gone viral today morning as the Times have published it in their paper and was also re-tweeted by several major sporting dailies.
Arsenal won the match 2-1 thanks to Cazorla’s goals in either half of the match. Arsenal next face rivals Tottenham in the most crucial games of the season to decide the fate of their champions league qualification.
Talking to the press after the game, a relaxed Wenger admitted that this has been one of the toughest week in his career. He said:
“Honestly, I have been well-tested (over the last week),” the 63-year-old said.
“It is not the critics that have been tough. I’m not masochistic – I prefer that (the media) say I’m good rather than bad, but I can understand that is part of my job.
“What was very, very difficult to take was to lose against Blackburn in the FA Cup at home and after against Bayern, it can go both ways – but one after the other, to lose big games, that is what was absolutely terrible.
“We question ourselves always as coaches. You are not 30 years in your job if you don’t question yourself. It is a bit more challenging now. I don’t think it is down to the methods of coaching or training or managing the team. Opinions are multiplied by a thousand – everyone knows exactly what you should do, but not everybody has been on a football pitch
In other news Manchester United are now believed to be in the race to sign Swansea defender Ashley Williams after reports in the Sunday press suggested Sir Alex wanted to bolster his back-line with the Welshman in the summer. The defender has had the season of his life and Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to have held a long term interest in Williams. It is thought Williams would cost around £10million.
