Here is the daily updates on Arsenal from our team

Arshavin:

Arsenal’s Russian prodigy Anrei Arshavin has been little seen inside the pitch nowadays  But that has not stopped the little Russian being involved in the off field activities. Arshavin has not always showed the funny side of him during press conferences and even in between matches.

Talking to Yahoo sports Arshavin tells some of his unknown qualities, which include the fear for horses. Though the video was released a couple of months ago, we give you a little insight of what was it all about.

Q: Worst thing you did as a kid ?

A:  “I said to my mommy that I did not love her.”

Q: How do you feel when standing next to Per Mertesacker ?

A: “No problem because anyway everyone is taller than me,” he says. “Maybe except Cazorla now.

Q: Do you own a horse ?

A: To this he admits that he is “scared of any horses, even when they are on tele.”

Q: Which superhero do you like ?

A: To this, Andre reveals that he doesn’t care much for superheroes because why are they so great? But for the sake of being polite and giving an answer, he says Superman just for the hell of it.

Ivan Gazidis talks about Walcott:

After yesterday’s bumper deal signed by Arsenal, their chief Ivan Gazidis spoke to the press and when asked about the contract situation of winger Theo Walcott he seemed to be tight lipped. While refusing to be drawn on specifics, Gazidis maintained the funds were available should the manager feel Walcott worth the continued investment for a bumper pay deal.

The Arsenal chief executive said: “I am not here to talk about any individual player contract discussions, but obviously we have got funds to be able to make the right decisions for the football club and we will do that based on Arsene’s judgements.”

Mean while Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already urged the player to extend his contract. It is up to the player to decide his future now.
