Arsenal Player Ratings vs Wolfsburg (1-0): Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Another Gem In the Making?

Arsenal Player Ratings vs Wolfsburg

Arsenal won the Emirates trophy for the first time in four years after a tough 1-0 victory over Wolfsburg. The foundation for the win actually took place in the first game where a rampant and ruthless Arsenal pumped in six past Lyon. The Walcott got the only goal of the game for the Gunners and this sets up a perfect way for them to take on Chelsea in the Community Shield next weekend.

Arsenal gave a chance to a few players, Petr Cech made his debut in the competition as he started for the Gunners and we rate the performances of all the players for Arsenal in this game.

Petr Cech: 6/10

The former Chelsea goalkeeper didn’t really have much to do today, he should be tested a lot more next week.

Hector Bellerin: 6/10

Didn’t really do a lot wrong today and he bombarded down the wing but his final ball was a bit of a let down.

Calum Chambers: 7/10

Chambers seems to be getting better, he was good with the ball today and was decent for the team/

Gabriel: 7/10

It was nice to see Gabriel get a run outm but he still needs a lot of game time to become a top defender.

Nacho Monreal: 7/10

Another solid display by the Spaniard, we are still unsure about his future in the team.

Mikel Arteta: 5/10

Mikel still lacks a lot of match fitness and sharpness, this was on show today.

Santi Cazorla: 7/10

Santi was as busy as a bee in midfield and didn’t do much wrong in the game.

Jack Wilshere: 6/10

Surprisingly was played on the left and he did not look comfortable at all, needs to play centrally for Arsenal to get the best out of him.

Mesut Ozil: 8/10

Created the goal with a great through ball for Walcott and seems to be getting into the old Mesut Ozil groove, Arsenal fans will be hoping to see more of this in the coming season.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide: 7/10

Was tricky throughout the game and seems like a great prospect for the future. Another gem in the making? Arsene Wenger is known for being the pressure that makes Diamonds. Hopefully, he can weave his magic yet again to turn this young prospect into a World class superstar in the coming years.

Theo Walcott: 8/10

Scored the only goal of the game but he had a few chances to score a few more.

Subs:

Chuba Akpom: 5/10

Didn’t do much in the game but had one great chance which he spurned.

Aaron Ramsey: 7/10

Did really well when he came on in the game.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: 6/10

Made one great lung-bursting run but couldn’t do much in the game.

Olivier Giroud: 5/10

Came on late and couldn’t get into the game.

Isaac Hayden: 6/10

Didn’t really get a lot to do apart from a shot which was saved by the goalkeeper.
