Goals from Harry Wilson, David Nugent and Mason Mount helped Derby County claim a 3-1 victory over Brentford at the Pride Park on Saturday.
But it wasn’t an ideal start for Derby County as they fell behind after only 56 seconds against Brentford when Henrik Dalsgaard headed in from a corner.
However, Frank Lampard’s boys responded in some style with Harry Wilson scoring the equaliser after a quick break. David Nugent lobbed Dan Bentley from 20 yards to put the Rams before Mason Mount’s free-kick extended the lead.
Brentford created a couple of chances late on but failed to apply the finishing touch as Derby extended their unbeaten run in home league games against Brentford to 10.
He had no chance to stop Brentford’s goal but was really reliable when called upon.
Another performance of great promise from Bogle, who simply continues to grow in stature with every passing week.
A solid display at the back as Keogh gave very little room for the Brentford attackers to thrive.
Oozed class alongside Keogh after conceding an early goal. Showed good pace and passing skills.
A positive display from Forsyth at left-back. Got forward when he had the opportunity and barring a few nervy moments, he was defensively solid.
Harried and hassled the Brentford players as Bryson never allowed the visitors to settle into the game. A really good display from Bryson.
Was disciplined in the deeper role. Johnson sprayed lovely passes, including the one for Nugent’s goal.
Mount produced another stunning display for the Rams. Scored a fine free-kick, worked diligently in the midfield and caused problems to the Brentford defenders with his movement.
Bennett showed a lot of energy against the Bees. Worked hard and tried to create things out of nothing.
Marked a lively performance with his first goal for the club.
A typical Nugent display. Worked his socks off for the team as always and also had a goal to show for his hard work against the Bees.
Came on with 15 minutes to go and looked to create problems against his former club.
Replaced the tired Nugent and showed the energy to close down the Brentford players.
Malone didn’t have time to make an impact.
