Predicted Everton Line-up To Face Liverpool In The Premier League

Everton will host Liverpool in a cracking Merseyside derby at Goodison Park this Saturday, with the arch-rivals looking to outplay each other in an attempt to progress higher up the points table. A gap of 26 points separate these two clubs.

However, the Reds will be keen to solidify their perch on the third spot whereas Sam Allardyce’s men will be looking to catch 8th-placed Leicester City.

Probable Everton XI

Manager: Sam Allardyce

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Jordan Pickford (GK)

Pickford has been one of Everton’s most reliable performers and he should start this weekend.

Seamus Coleman (RB)

Coleman can be a formidable presence on the right-hand side and he could play an important role on Saturday.

Phil Jagielka (CB)

His display against Manchester City was very poor but due to the lack of quality options, he might be handed a start against Liverpool.

Michael Keane

Michael Keane (CB)

Keane should partner Jagielka at the heart of the defence once more.

Leighton Baines (LB)

Baines is likely to complete the defence at left-back. He will play a crucial role for the Toffees.

Tom Davies (CM)

With Gueye a major doubt, Schneiderlin played in his place against City but he was horribly exposed and Davies replaced him. Thus, the youngster might return to this role once more on Saturday.

Wayne Rooney (CM)

Rooney also failed against City but he should continue in central midfield.

Yannick Bolasie (LW)

Bolasie’s pace and creativity will prove to be important against Liverpool and he is likely to retain his spot.

Cenk Tosun

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (CAM)

Calvert-Lewin looked promising enough against City and this could mean a starting role for him in this highly intense derby game.

Theo Walcott (RW)

Walcott has worked wonders for Everton since joining them and he should start on the right-wing this weekend.

Cenk Tosun (CF)

Tosun failed to do much in the previous game due to a shortage of service but he will be looking to put it behind and do well against Liverpool.
