West Ham signing this La Liga hotshot would help them revive their underperforming front-line

West Ham opinion: Should the Hammers revive their interest in Moron?

According to reports in Football.london, Real Betis striker Loren Moron had refused a transfer from West Ham last summer but the Hammers should revive their interest in the striker this summer due to the problems they’ll be facing next season in that department.

Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez are bound to leave the club and Marko Arnautovic has not looked the same since his transfer saga In January.

Moron scored seven goals in 15 games in his first season for the first-team after being promoted to their first team from the B side and signed a massive new contract last summer to reflect his rise to the senior-team. This season, he has scored 8 goals in all competitions and assisted 4 times in 45 appearances.

He hasn’t been as good this season and a new challenge would be ideal for the striker. Manuel Pellegrini is a fantastic manager to work under and the Betis striker during his time in Spain will know of his influence in the La Liga.

West Ham signed a backup striker in Lucas Perez on transfer deadline day from Arsenal after missing out from Moron but that move hasn’t worked out for either party.

Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping he makes a better start this season after not getting a single point in his first 4 games in charge last season.

The performances gradually got a lot better after their win over Everton and they were able to sustain it for a period, which got them close to a Europa League spot. However, their performances at the end of the season were very flat and they left themselves with too much to do.

West Ham already shown that they mean business this summer after the purchase of Pablo Fornal. They did the same last year with the purchase of Felipe Anderson and with Moron leading the line, that front-3 could be one of the most frightening attacks in the league.

Conclusion

They could be a threat to any defence in the league and have a great chance of European football if they manage that. There’s also a place for the top-4 for grabs with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United having massive rebuilding jobs this season.

West Ham have a lot to look forward to this season if they get this deal over the line.
