5 Youngsters Who Will Light Up The EPL Next Season Including Arsenal, Man United And Chelsea Stars

Share

This season has seen some promising youngsters play good amount of football. We have had the opportunity to witness a very unique and highly competitive premier league season this year, along with some great young talents. Here are 5 youngsters who will be looking forward for the next season to consolidate their position in the squad as well as develop into better footballers.

5. Serge Gnabry (Arsenal)

The 18-year old German has earned precious game time under Arsene Wenger with the absence of Walcott and Chamberlain during the season. Boy didn’t he take his chances well! Gnabry has been brilliant when given the chance. He burst into the scene last year but didn’t play too often. This season he got noticed when he scored his first professional goal against Swansea leading Arsenal to a 2-1 victory. He has the desire and appetite for the game. His work rate and skills are actually enough for him to make the starting line-up on a decent basis. Arsene Wenger’s scouting seems to have hit the bull’s eye yet again as Gnabry shows promise of becoming world class in a few years’ time.

4. Adnan Januzaj (Manchester United)

Well, in an abysmal season for the 12-13 Champions, the one thing that seems to have gone right for the Red Devils is this youngster with confused nationality! 19 year old Belgian-Albanian youngster was a delight to watch as he scored a brace against Sunderland. He has been a regular player this season. Despite having a lot to learn, Adnan shows promise, promise of becoming one of the world’s finest talents. The young starlet possesses amazing technique with the ball and has bamboozled quite a few defenders with his dribbling. His ability to pick out the final pass is also commendable, a reason why Januzaj was preferred over other wingers in United’s creativity-derived midfield for most part of the season until the Mata transfer.

3. Mohamed Salah (Chelsea)

The 21 year old Egyptian was snatched from Liverpool’s grasp in the later stages of the transfer window by Chelsea. Jose Mourinho has a vision for Salah and with that electric pace, ball control and dribbling coupled with the work rate and stamina shown by the youngster, one cannot help but see a next-gen Arjen Robben. Salah made his first Chelsea start against Stoke, and had a very influential debut as he contributed to all the three goals as he scored one, assisted one and won the penalty which Frank Lampard scored on the rebound. With the Egyptian all set to get a proper pre-season with Jose Mourinho, we can expect a whole lot of Salah magic in the Premier League.

2. Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

This guy is out of the world for a 19 year old! Cementing his place in a Liverpool line-up that boasts of much more experienced midfielders shows his capability. He has great pace, dribbling technique and appetite for the game. He has always given his 100 per cent to his team when he’s played, contrary to Victor Moses who was constantly ignored because of the prowess of this young English starlet. Already having 57 appearances for Liverpool, this only shows how Brendan Rodgers looks at his players, as he gives values to performances and not simply the age factor. Sterling has proved himself as a talent, as Liverpool mount a title challenge after many years.

Luke Shaw (Southampton)

The 18 year old is the undisputed king of youngsters currently in England. Wanted by almost all the top clubs in the league, Luke Shaw is one of the best players in Southampton. Shaw has the pace and stamina that is necessary for any full back, but it is the fact that he is a very technically gifted player along with strong decision making ability for such a youngster makes him a heartthrob and any manager’s dream to have in the team. He can be described as an attacking full back, but an intelligent one who knows how to defend well. Shaw who has been compared time and again to Gareth Bale, has made 57 appearances for Southampton, again stating his importance to the team. He also earned the international call-up for England in a recent friendly.
