Alvaro Vadillo, 18, is the latest youngster linked with the Gunners. According to Spanish source AS, Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for the youngster this summer. Alvaro who has  been dubbed as the new Cristiano Ronaldo after a string of impressive displays in the youth team which saw him get promoted to the first team.

While there are other areas that Arsenal have to strengthen, buying another Winger should be the last priority for Arsene Wenger. However, Alvaro Vadillo could be the one for the future and could be brought in for the ideal price tag that the Arsenal manager would like to.

So who is Alvaro Vadillo? Let’s look at the 5 things

Full name – Álvaro Vadillo Cifuentes, was born in Puerto Real, Cádiz, Spain on 12 September 1994.

He began his career at a very young age as an academy product of Real Betis and made his senior debut as a 16 year old when he started in a 1–0 away win against Granada CF back in 2011. He is the second youngest ever player to start a La Liga match.

Barcelona, AC Milan and Manchester United have also been tracking the youngster’s development since his break through into the first team.

Having played regularly for Spain U-17 team, he has found his way into the Spanish U-20 team now. Capped 5 times for the U-20, Vadillo has been on the score sheet once.

Arsenal have an easy access to the youngster as they can keep track on him whilst keeping tabs on young Gunners striker Joel Campbell, who is on a season long loan spell at Andalusian side.

 

If reports are true, Arsene Wenger will he having £70 million in his bag to spend on new players. Along side Álvaro Vadillo expect some long term targets at the Groove.
