If by any chance you have read any of my other articles around the net, you’ll know that I am not the biggest fan of the Premier League. So with this article I will suggest five players that, I think could improve the Premier League.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The lighting fast St Etienne man has been attracting interest from all over Europe, and for good reason too. Second only to Ibrahimovic in the Ligue 1 goal-scoring charts and with six assists to his name, it is looking increasingly unlikely that he’ll be playing his trade in France next season. The clubs making the most noises in the Premier League seems to be Newcastle and Chelsea. While other interest is widely believed to be coming from Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United. He would undoubtedly improve all of these teams, with his pace, goal-scoring prowess and hard-work for the team. He would give defenses up and down the land something new to think about, and would see his stock once again rise throughout Europe.

Christian Eriksen

The Danish superstar is one of the hottest properties around Europe after yet another superb season with his Amsterdam based Ajax team. The classy playmaker, built almost in the Luka Modric mould would offer whichever team were to sign him a cutting edge like no other. His ability to beat a man, along with his crisp, sleek passing has seen the 21 year old become one of the most sought after players in the world. The chance to prove himself in a bigger league than the Eredivise would be a tantalizing offer for the young man, and the Premier League would be a tough test for Eriksen. He has almost, in many respects outgrown Ajax and is widely regarded as the most important player in that team, if he were to leave it would be a disaster for Ajax, but to whomever he went, they would be buying a gem of a player. Tottenham and Liverpool look set to slug out what could be one of the most prolonged transfer saga’s of this summer’s transfer window.

Mario Gotze

With this young man, I’m not sure if I have any superlatives left to describe him with. An integral cog of the Borussia Dortmund team that has captured the imagination of all of Europe this season, with their swashbuckling style, which has seen them reach the last eight of the Champions League. Already at just the tender age of 20, he has been described as “one of the best talents this country has produced”. His technical ability, speed and creativity, coupled with his versatility has seen him courted by Arsenal and Manchester United in recent months. With the player himself saying he is open to a move, one of these clubs is going to have to step up the chase and gain a march on the other clubs, believed to be tracking the talented young man. He’ll be one of the best in the world in years to come, a worthwhile buy for any team in the world, never-mind the Premier League.

Neymar

This one is more of a dream, than a reality with Barcelona looking most likely to purchase the services of the 21 year old. Interest is high, and even that is an understatement. With over 100 goals already and a hatful of Brazil caps, this player is causing shockwaves in world football. He has it all, skill, goals, pace and ever power. Even with all of this, he is still very much a untested player in the eyes of many football fans. Able to play anywhere across the front line, he would have full backs and centre backs of the Premier League, quaking in their cleats. Not scared to get chalk on his boots, he can drag players out wide and beat them within the blink of an eye. He could add more than just goals to any team, and would be seen as a marque signing and a show of intent if say Manchester City were to buy him. Chelsea are also said to be looking into the possibility of buying Neymar, and when he does decide to leave his native Brazil, it will be interesting to see what offers are brought to the table.

Isco

For Isco, this season has been a watershed moment in his short career. Helped by Malaga’s progress in the Champions League, he has become a sensation throughout Europe. Unfortunately for his potential suitors he recently signed a new contract which is believed to have a buyout clause in excess of £100m. Already in 2013 he has made his Spain debut and has helped Malaga reach the quarter final of Europe’s premier competition. Most comfortable playing in the attacking midfield role, he is someone lone strikers would love to have behind them. He radiates confidence while on the pitch, and has he has been a revelation in a league that is dominated by three of the biggest names in world football, those being Messi, Ronaldo and Falcao. Malaga’s prize asset may be considering leaving due to the fact that Malaga won’t be playing in Europe for the foreseeable future due to what UEFA call “financial irregularities”. Whatever happens this summer, he will remain one to watch for the next few seasons.
