Top 5 Players Who Could Comeback Stronger After The International Break: Featuring Liverpool And Chelsea Stars

Share

Injuries are a common sight in the world of football, the tough tackles, the great bursts of speed and energy, it certainly isn’t a surprise to see a lot of players injured but what infuriates a club manager more than anything else is when his players get injured during international duty.

With another international break coming up, we try to provide some cheerful news to the fans of the Premier League. There are many stars that have been on the treatment table for quite some time and we provide a list of five players who could make their come back into the starting XI or at least on the bench in time for the games after the international break.

5. David Silva

One of the heartbeats for Manchester City, David Silva was injured while on duty for Spain and hasn’t played since. The Manchester City attacker was back to full training recently and although he didn’t play a part in the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa, he should be returning to the team in a couple of weeks’ time.

4. Jordan Henderson

The Liverpool captain is another player who hasn’t really been able to do much for his club. He has had a couple of niggling injuries since the 1-0 win over Bournemouth and he should be back to lead the team out at the end of the international break. Liverpool need to kick start their season under Klopp after their loss and what better way than bringing back the captain.

3. Sergio Aguero

Losing one top quality player for a long time is bad enough but losing one of the most lethal players in the world is the worst thing. Thankfully Sergio Aguero should be back to full fitness by the end of this international break, he did get injured in the last one but should spend the next two weeks to fire the goals for Manchester City as they look to create a gap between them and the chasing pack.

2. Branislav Ivanovic

Many suggested that dropping underperforming players would help Chelsea get better while they didn’t really drop Ivanovic; the performances haven’t been that great. The Serbian might have been injured recently, but maybe this break could help him recharge his batteries and get back to his old rampaging self when he makes his return after the break.

  1. Daniel Sturridge

The Glassman at Liverpool hasn’t been fit for a long time and has barely played enough minutes under Klopp. With him travelling to America to check on what the problem is, this time it was his knee, the English striker is expected to return after the international break for Liverpool and boy do they need him to start firing in the goals.
