5 Players Who Could Leave Liverpool End Of This Season: Including A Big Money Forward

During Brendan Rodgers’ tenure at Liverpool, he spend an awful lot of money on average players whoo weren’t good enough for Liverpool. He paid the price with his job and now with Jurgen Klopp coming in, he will want to put his own stamp on the team by bringing in players to fit his own style of play, so which players could possibly be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season?

Dejan Lovren joined Liverpool from Southampton and much was expected from him after performing well for Southampton. However he hasn’t performed anywhere near that level at Anfield and Lovren featured on The Telegraph website in a feature about the 2014–15 Premier League’s 20 worst signings which remarked on the number of his errors that resulted in opposition goals. With the new signing Matip joining in the summer, if Lovren doesn’t perform well for the rest of the season, it looks likely he could be shown the door at Anfield in the summer.

Most fans were left bemused when Liverpool paid a big sum ( £32 million) for Christian Benteke last summer. He played well during his time at Aston Villa but not at the level of a £32 million player. With this price tag hovering over Benteke’s head, it looks to have affected his performances and with the injuries to Daniel Sturridge, this was the perfect time for Benteke to show his worth for Liverpool, but he failed to impress. Under new manager Jurgen Klopp, Benteke has spend most game on the bench because he doesn’t fit in with Klopp’s style of play. He has preferred to use Firmino upfront and now that Sturridge is fit again, Benteke looks unlikely to have much playing time and could be heading for the exit door.

Joe Allen was the subject of a loan bid from former club Swansea in January and with Klopp coming in, he looks set to leave Liverpool to get more playing time. He has scored some important goals for Liverpool this season including a last-minute equaliser against Arsenal.

Alberto Moreno have looked vulnerable at left-back, he likes to get forward but leaves spaces in behind the defence which many teams have capitalised on. Jose Enrique hasn’t played for Liverpool for a while and he came close to leaving in the January, Klopp will surely be looking to get him off their wage bill. If Enrique leaves, Klopp could potentially keep Moreno as a backup left-back.

Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan was brought in by Rodgers as backup to Simon Mignolet. He hasn’t exactly been a wall in goal when he has played. He has made high-profile mistakes in several games and it is doubtful he will be at Anfield next season.
