The transfer window is open and that only means that certain teams will try to sing a few players and increase their chances of achieving the goals set out for the season. Unlike managers who can be hired and fired anytime in the year, there are only two windows which allow footballers to move between clubs.
This means that if a player isn’t having the best time in his current club, he has to wait until the next transfer window to get away. With the winter window slightly inflated, it might be hard to get the deal that a team wants but here are five players who want to leave their club and probably move away from the Premier League.
The Colombian striker hasn’t had the greatest time in England, be it due to the way he was used by Louis van Gaal and then Jose Mourinho or due to the fact that his injuries have plagued his playing time. The striker now seems set to return to Monaco and end his loan spell with Chelsea. Falcao at one stage was the most feared striker in the world but that hasn’t worked out all that well at Chelsea and Manchester United, it is just a matter of time before he moves away from England.
2. David de Gea
Dave might be saving Manchester United many times but certainly he would want to play in a team that actually has a chance of winning a trophy. His move to Real Madrid was blocked or scuppered somehow and with another transfer ban for the La Liga side taking place soon, De Gea might want to leave Manchester for his home town club Real as soon as possible and it could happen in January if Real pay a ludicrous amount.
3. Mathieu Debuchy
The Arsenal right-back stated fairly recently that joining the Gunners was a mistake, not too sure about that but certainly he hasn’t had a lot of game time for the London team. Debuchy was supposed to be Arsenal’s first choice defender but a number of injuries and then the rise of Hector Bellerin has put a spanner in the works. Debuchy wants to leave the club and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he moves anywhere out of England for first team football.
4. Abdul Baba Rahman
The Ghanaian was signed with a lot of fanfare and a huge check by Jose Mourinho from Augsburg but the 21-year-old just hasn’t had the impact that he would have liked in the Premier League. Baba has had chances to show what he is capable of but unfortunately for the ex-Bundesliga star it just isn’t working for him in England. The 21-year-old could well be looking for a move back to Germany where he excelled as it seems that his time at Chelsea hasn’t been the greatest for him.
5. Jose Enrique
Jose Enrique was frozen out from the Liverpool team earlier by Brendan Rodgers and he only got a look in at Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Exeter FA Cup tie due to a range of injuries plaguing the team. Now with Steven Caulker in the side on a loan deal, the 29-year-old has stated that he wants to play more and his ill-fated time at Liverpool could come to an end soon, hopefully in a few weeks.
