  1. Jamie Vardy-

The most entertaining player in this season’s Premier league who scored in 11 consecutive matches breaking the record of Manchester United’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Vardy, the main man for Leicester this season joined the team in 2012 when the team was battling in the Championship (England’s second league) on a record fee of £1 million as a non-league player and the team managed to gain promotion in 2014. In the 2014-15 season, Vardy delivered a Man-Of-The- Match performance as the team defeated Manchester United after a surprise comeback from 3-1 down to 5-3 up.

Leicester City, currently sitting on the top of the table have the entire world at their feet. By January 2016, Vardy’s transfer value has gone up from £2.1 million to £18.8 million and the credit goes to his manager Claudio Ranieri who describes the striker as “Priceless”. Started from the bottom and was released by Sheffield Wednesday at the age of sixteen then played as a non-league player, is currently sitting second at the top of the scoring charts.

Vardy, a direct poacher who is dynamic and extremely fast, good in the air as well as capable of striking the ball with both feet is now wanted by Europe’s big guns.

  1. Riyad Mahrez-

The French born Algerian winger has surprised the entire footballing world by his standout performance this season. Alongside his team mate Jamie Vardy, Mahrez is a lethal weapon for Leicester. It seems a pretty simple combination for Leicester this season: Mahrez creates chances, Vardy scores it. The Duo (Mahrez and Vardy) have been involved in more goals than any of the Premier League players. Riyad alone has a direct involvement in 22 goals for Leicester this season in which he has scored 13 and have 9 assists in his pocket.

Before joining The Foxes, Riyad joined the French side Le Havre in 2010 after turning down the offer from Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille. Initially, he played for their reserve team and was transferred to Leicester in January 2014.

In January 2016,  Mahrez transfer value raised from £4.5 million to £30.1 million, ranking him among the top 50 most valuable players in Europe.

  1. Dele Alli-

The 19- year old eminent midfielder is grabbing all the headlines in England. Alli is considered as England’s great hope, a title once owned by Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere. The young midfielder has 7 goals and 6 assists in his bag this season.

The highly talented young midfielder joined Tottenham in February 2015  from MK Dons in the dying minutes of the transfer season on a five and a half year deal and was loaned back to his previous club for the remainder of 2014-15 season. His outstanding performance resulted through an International call, on November 2015, he made his appearance for England’s national side and scored the opener through a long range strike to beat his Spur’s team-mate Hugo Lloris against France. Out of League one into the premier league, Alli scored a breathtaking goal in a 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace. The young boy has shown the world what he is capable of and he will surely become a World-Class quality one day.

  1. N’Golo Kante-

“Right now, Kante is the best tackler/retriever of the ball on the planet”, said the former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand. With most interceptions (106) in entire Europe, the Leicester’s workhouse is one of the best buys of the season according to his manager Claudio Ranieri. Kante, tough as granite has been blocking oppositions attacks all season.

Kante has scored just one goal this season which was a rather fortunate effort against Watford.

Born in Paris, Kante made his professional debut in French Football on May 18, 2012 playing for US Boulogne against Monaco in League 2 at the age of 21. In 2013, he moved to Caen where he was given enough chances and the side ended in promotion to Ligue 1 finishing 3rd on the table.

His stats speaks for him, his 109 interceptions are most by any player in Europe’s top five leagues (England, Spain, Germany, France, Italy). Before Kante, this record was held  by Toulouse’s midfielder jean- Daniel Akpa- Akpro (108 interceptions).
