Many consider the Premier League as the best league in the world and not without any reason. The aggression that is displayed by the teams in the Premier League is mind blowing and makes this league extremely entertaining. The clash between Chelsea and Aston Villa on Wednesday is a perfect example to that as you might have noticed the tension between Ivanovic and Benteke which was unbelievable in such an early stage of the campaign. This aggression is one of the prime reasons for the astounding viewership that the league receives more than any other league in the world.

Although players like Thiago Alcantara, Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao have snubbed Premier league clubs in favour of other leagues, the English Premier League has its own range of attacking talents that could give any defence a run for their money. We look at a few players who could display that instinct in their game this season and make the league even more exciting.

Phillipe Coutinho

We can’t help but mention his name at the beginning. The pint sized Brazilian is the shining star in the Liverpool line up and has till now been the attacking force of the team. It is remarkable that how fast this player has been the main man of the team in the midfield and has earned the trust of the manager and the fans alike. His dribbles, precise passes and placements are a treat to watch and it would not be much to say that all the Kop fans would look forward to see him in action every time Liverpool takes the field.

Romelu Lukaku

The Chelsea striker has already shown us what he is capable of during his loan spell at West Brom last term. Considering Chelsea do not sign Rooney or Eto’o, he is bound to overshadow the current striker at the club, namely Torress and Ba. Last season he was the main man in the West Brom attacking force and was a constant threat to the opposition. His physicality and his work rate make him such a dangerous player and it is would be advisable for all the opponents of Chelsea to spare a thought for the striker.

Wilfried Bony

He has justified his purchase in only the limited time that he got to play against Manchester United in the season’s opener by scoring a neat goal. The Swansea striker would be one of the dark horses of the season and after their miracles with Michu last season, everyone would hope for the Swans to pull off another coup this season.

Roberto Soldado

The Spanish International proved his worth straight away as he scored from the spot to earn Spurs a crucial win over Palace in the opening day of the Campaign.  The former Valencia hit-man scored 24 goals in 35 appearances last season and AVB expects nothing less from his new recruit this term. Arrived with a €30m price tag expect a 15+ goal count from Soldado this season.

P.s: We have not included last season’s success stories like Benteke and Michu.

Other honorable mentions: Kevin Mirallas, Kevin De Bruyne and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo
