3 Youngsters Who Could Light Up The Premier League Including Liverpool & Manchester United Targets

Share

As the transfer season is fast approaching, the teams are burning their midnight oil finalizing their targets and trying to get the best of the players for their team. But while the teams are certainly looking for superstars, all the clubs are also in the search for the youngsters keeping in mind the future. It is the youngsters who help the club in the long run and who secure the future of the clubs. It is very hard to get talented youngsters every other day and the clubs must have a great scouting team to identify the right players. All the major clubs have already identified some of the best players from across Europe, who can serve them for a long time. We take a look at three such players who can make a move to the Premier League this season.

David Alaba

The Austrian has been linked with Arsenal in the past and the Gunners definitely have the resources to pull off the transfer this summer. The 21 year old has been a decent player for Bayern Munich and the Germans would not want to lose such a prospect. Primarily a left back, he can also be more than a handful in the left midfield position. He has also made appearances in the central midfield for Bayern and proved to be a vital cog in Pep Guardiola’s team this season. If he is successfully brought to England by Arsenal or any other Premier League giants that would be a major boost for the league on the whole. He would bring with himself the winning spirit and the physicality that Arsenal have been lacking at times.

However, Alaba has a contract with the Bavarians until 2018 and that may be a stumbling block in his transfer. If Arsene Wenger manages to sanction the mega bucks and the promise of his preferred midfield role, it could very well leave the Austrian tempted. Arsenal, who are also in the market for a defensive midfielder might find Alaba’s prospects very much intriguing.

Iker Muniain

The rumour mills have so linked Manchester Untied with flashy players like Marco Reus and Edinson Cavani, but United’s interests in Iker Muniain have not been highlighted by many. This is the one transfer, which could help them in the future and also compensate for the loss of Pogba to Juventus as a couple of years ago. The 21 year old Athletic club player is primarily a left winger who can also step in as a secondary striker when needed.

So far he has displayed his attacking instincts in the La Liga and has been rated as one of the most promising players. He has just one year of his contract remaining with the La Liga side and thus should not cost United much. But there are reports that he is already in negotiations with the club to extend his current contract and if United are to secure his services, they should act at this instant.

Luis Muriel

The Colombian striker has been rumoured to attract interests from Liverpool. He perfectly suits the Liverpool style of play with his small stature and his agility. Currently playing in the Serie A with Udinese, he can be quite an important addition to the squad along with players like Coutinho and Suarez from his own continent. But the signing of Lambert seems to have solved the imminent need of a striker in Liverpool and right now it is looking like the club has shifted their focus on other areas of the squad. Still Muriel is a player worth having on the side as he was once touted to be the replacement for Luis Suarez should the Uruguayan choose to leave for Real Madrid.
