3 Wonderkids Arsenal And Wenger Should Try And Sign This January

After yet another average performance at the Old Trafford that gave the Gunners just a point, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will know that he will have to make a few additions to the squad in January. But the window coming in between the season, Wenger will find high-quality stars hard to sign after the turn of the year leaving him with very little options in the market. So it is not a bad idea for them to spend on a few youngsters who have great potential. There are a number of young stars all around Europe who can add some depth and edge to the attack at the Emirates and here are 3 such wonder kids that the Gunners should sign in January:

Ademola Lookman (Charlton; 19 years):

The 19-year old English attacker is one of the most exciting prospects in the domestic circuit in England. Valued at £10m, he is also a target for the two Merseyside outfits in the Premier League and is a superb option for the manager. Having spent on Lucas Perez, who is now injured, Wenger is still in need of attacking reinforcements and with not too many options to look at in January, the Charlton man might be a bright option. Though he has a weakness in the air, Lookman is a strong player who loves to dribble with the ball at his feet. He is a silky player who loves to take on the opposition every chance he gets and playing as a centre-forward he is also slowly building his killer instinct in front of goal. With 5 goals and 2 assists in 10 starts in all competitions this season, he is in decent form and a good option for Arsenal.

Peter Gwargis (Husqvarna FF; 16 years)

Dubbed as the ‘next Mesut Ozil’ in his country, the 16-year old is arguably the most exciting youngster in the domestic circuit in Sweden. He is yet to make a senior appearance for the Swedish outfit but his exploits in training has seen Arsenal plot a move for him in January. At his age, he is still a bit away from first team football but with Arsene Wenger and his policies, Gwargis might actually make the switch to the Emirates in January. Wenger loves to nurture young talent with potential and the 16-year old has shown that in abundance in the few chances he got at his tender age and Wenger should not think long about adding him to his squad. At his age, he will only get better the more he plays and if he can learn that trade under one of the best managers in world football, he can surely grow on to be a global superstar.

Josh Tymon (Hull City; 17 years):

Not tied to a professional contract with the Tigers yet, the 17-year old has already attracted interests from some of the best sides in the league. A left-back by trait, Tymon, has already made a senior appearance for his side this season in the league and is not too far away from playing regular Premier League football. He is strong, smart and disciplined and though he needs to work on his ball control under pressure, he is an exciting addition to the Arsenal squad. Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs are currently playing in the position for the Gunners but it is not long before Wenger has to search for a replacement but the search may already end if he is able to lure Tymon to the Emirates. At his age, he may not walk into the first team in January itself, but he will provide cover when needed and also learn the Arsenal style of play to grow on to become a top class player for the club.
