Wenger Must Sign These Players To Set Things Right Again

It has been a tough season at the Emirates which has seen Arsene Wenger come under scrutiny constantly for the bad results. But the French manager, who has been at the club for more than a couple of decades, could yet stay at the club for another season. It is hard to see Arsenal sack Wenger and there is every chance that he might stay for at least another year to try and get them back to their best next season. If Wegner signs an extension, it will surely be his last chance and that will mean that he will have to spend big on improving the quality of the squad in the transfer window. Though he has been linked with some big names, here are three players Wenger should sign this summer if he wants the next campaign to be a success at the Emirates.

Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon):

Arguably one of the best finishers in world football at the moment, Lacazette has been on the radar of the English club for some time now but Wenger has not been able to lure him out of France yet. However, with Arsenal needing a top class striker this summer, it might finally be time for the manager to meet his valuation. With 29 goals and 4 assists in all competitions this season, the 25-year old has had yet another exceptional season and is valued at around £40m. His contract ends in 2019 which might see Wenger land him at around his market value this summer. Lacazette might easily be the man who can take Arsenal back to their best.

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund):

Another player, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates constantly, is Borussia Dortmund’s star, Marco Reus. The 27-year old is one of the best players in the game in his position and though he is slightly injury prone, he is a top class player who would improve any team that he walks into. The German outfit are not ready to let him go anytime soon but Reus has yet again been linked with an exit this summer. The versatile attacker is contracted with the Dortmund till 2019 and may be available at not too much more than his market value and Wenger should surely do what it takes to get him to the Emirates. With 6 goals and 7 assists in just 15 games, Rues is a dangerous player in front of goal and can make this Arsenal attack completely exciting.

Andrea Belotti (Torino):

The most expensive option on this list, Belotti is probably the best option for Wenger this summer. Currently in the form of his life, the 23-year old Italian international has cemented a place in the first team for club and country and has 24 goals and 4 assists in all domestic competitions. At his age, he is one of the most exciting strikers on view at the moment and Arsenal could do with one such player leading their attack. Belotti would push Alexis Sanchez (if he stays) into a more natural wide position adding more strength to the Arsenal attack. He valued very highly and is contracted with the Italian club till 2021 which would see him cost nothing less than his £85m release clause. But at his age, he is worth every penny and can turn this Arsenal side into a title-winning one.
