3 Relatively Unknown Young Players Liverpool Should Try To Sign From Euro 2016, Featuring This Manchester United Target

Share

Euro 2016 is upon us and with an increased number of players this time around, the smaller nations do have a chance of pulling off an upset or two. Wales will be making their first Euro appearance, but a lot is expected from the likes of some of the smaller nations such as Hungary, Poland and even Iceland have a chance to get a lot of attention through their group games.

This is also the perfect opportunity for scouts to search for a few players and get them a bargain. Unknown players are like diamonds in the rough, you do need a vast scouting network before you can get someone in and Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, is known to have done similar things at Borussia Dortmund.

The German would have a keen eye on the competition and getting a few players in who are young yet have a lot of potential could be the way to go for the Reds.

We look at three unknown stars that Liverpool should think about signing:

Ante Coric (Croatia)

Depending on what you do read about the youngster from Croatia, Coric has been labelled as the new Zidane or even the new Robert Pires. He might be the youngest member of the squad travelling to the Euros at the age of just 19, but the midfielder is one of the brightest talents to have made it to the team.

Coric might play for Dinamo Zagreb, but has already stated that he had been contracted by Real Madrid and Manchester City scouts, he is considered that good but there is a problem with his consistency. No matter, if Liverpool do sign him up, he could be another young player who solves their problem in midfield for a long time.

Adam Nagy (Hungary)

Playing for Ferencvaros might not get you all the glory in the world but Adam Nagy has constantly put up great performances for his club and could be the star man for Hungary as they look to get past the group stage which features Austria, Iceland and Portugal.

Nagy is stated as one of the best players in the country and has admitted that he will not move just for the money. Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with the midfielder but it would not be a surprise to see another club move in for the 20-year-ols who keeps on impressing as he gets more games under his best.

Andre Gomes (Portugal)

He might be the oldest player in this small list, but Gomes is the one who has done the best work so far in his career. At 22-years-old, he isn’t that old to be honest and has been at the heart of the Valencia midfield this season.

He is an excellent defensive midfielder who can play in defence when required, something that Liverpool already have in Emre Can but they do need two such players in the centre of the park. Having both Gomes and Can, who are still incredibly young would certainly make Liverpool competitive while also securing a bright future in midfield.
