3 Reasons Why This 24-year Old Should Leave Arsenal For A Better Future

Share

The 24-year-old Arsenal midfielder – Jack Wilshere – is currently on a season-long loan at Bournemouth after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the majority of last season.

The temporary exit from the comforts of Emirates was seen as a perfect avenue for the England international to reestablish himself, and it seems to be going well to plans after he earned a recall to the national team squad of recent.

With everything seemingly falling back into place, the talented midfielder sets eyes on a return to the north London giants when his loan term ends with Eddie Howe’s side at the end of 2016-17.

However, it could end up as a wrong and ill-advised move for the English star whose talents and potentials continue to divide opinions.

Here are 3 reasons why as opposed to returning to the club, he should leave Arsenal for good come next summer.

He won’t walk into the starting XI upon his return

While continuing at Dean Court further than 2016-17 is out of question for a player of his status and caliber, returning to Emirates will most likely not favour Wilshere.

Having established himself at Bournemouth and completed 90 minutes successively on 3 occasions for the first time in a very long while, moving to a club where he has a better chance of playing regular first-team football is advisable.

At Arsenal, he would find it very difficult to secure a starting berth considering the enormous talents bound to be ahead of him in the selection order upon an eventual return.

The competition for playing positions has gotten stiffer, and by moving elsewhere he has a chance of getting his career going.

He needs to save his career

Wilshere’s career hasn’t gone according to plans, and if he would ever be able to live up to the initial hype is still being doubted by many.

His stunted growth and development is partly down to his bouts of injuries, and considering how he might have been mentally conditioned to be prone to lack of fitness at Arsenal, it doesn’t look like the club is the best place for him to return to if his loan term turns out very successful.

Playing at the top level and on a consistent basis is the best bet to save a career that has failed to hit the very great heights it was destined for, but after 6 goals in 105 league games for the Gunners, clearly, Wilshere won’t ever hit that zenith at Arsenal.

It was never meant to happen. For the sake of a career that can still be saved, returning to Arsenal is out of it.

Arsenal and Wilshere unfortunately no longer need one another

When a 16-year-old Jack made his Arsenal debut back in 2008, becoming Arsenal’s youngest-ever league debutant in the process, everyone thought this was a match made in heaven.

After 9 seasons, it is obviously not working out, and it would be in the best interest of both club and player to part ways as this relationship has yielded no success and isn’t likely to.

How things might have turned out with his talents at another club entirely is anyone’s guess, but at this point in time, new challenges are better scaled at another side.
