3 Reasons Why Sadio Mane To Arsenal Would Work

Share

The new recruits at Southampton are making quite a buzz in the Premier League, everyone expected the Saints to struggle this season but have defied expectations, they are still in the race to qualify for European competition and that is due to not only the manager, Ronald Koeman but also the new players who have adjusted to the Premier League so quickly.

One player who has done great for them is Sadio Mane, the attacker has been playing some brilliant football for the club, especially since he joined from the Austrian League, the jump up in level has not caught him out and this has led to interest from various clubs, including Arsenal. Arsenal have been in the market to bulk up their squad and getting Mane into the team might be a great idea for the Gunners, here are 3 reasons why Mane to Arsenal would be a good match for both parties.

A tireless worker

One of the greatest qualities that mane has is that he is a tireless worker, while he does play in an advanced position for the Saints, there can never be any complain of him not coming back to defend. He is known to harry opponents as he tries to win the ball back and try to launch attacks. That is something that Arsenal need in their wide men and Mane would be a perfect option for the Gunners in that respect.

Defending from the front would actually help the other players in the final third as Giroud and company won’t have to worry about having to work too hard in getting the ball back.

Blistering pace

Arsenal truly have a lot of pace in their squad and having another player who can enter the squad with the same amount of speed, that is a good thing. Mane is known for his speed and acceleration down the wing and having him in the team would just add that dimension to the squad and also strengthen it.

Unpredictability while playing

This might not be the best thing for a winger, but Mane does have a bit of unpredictability about his play. He might cut in while playing down the wing and move to his better foot if he is playing on the opposite side or he might just blast past the opponent and cross down the side. His unpredictability is key to his game and having that in the Arsenal squad would be a huge help.
