3 Reasons Why Chelsea Shouldn’t Splash £25m On This Attacker

January isn’t far away and rumours are running wild about top clubs signing up players to make their team stronger. One such rumour which has been doing the rounds is that Chelsea are leading the race to sign German attacker Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund. The German has missed parts of the season due to various injuries and now would be unavailable till January; the deal is reported to be worth roughly £25 million plus Andre Schurrle heading to Dortmund.

The German would be a wonderful addition to any side but here are 3 reasons as to why Chelsea should not sign the German.

Chelsea already have good options

If you look at the Chelsea team, they already have the likes of Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Schurrle and Salah to play the attacking role. If that is not enough they have players like Marko Marin, Thorgan Hazard and Christian Atsu away on loan to various clubs who would all be Chelsea players next season.

Chelsea already have good attackers in their current squad and bringing in Marco Reus would give them options, yes but that would not be the best news for the squad, unless they decide to trim the list down. It would also send a negative signal to most of the other players out there, Chelsea are in no need of Reus, at the moment.
