Ever since Luis Nani joined Sporting Lisbon on loan, he has been a complete new man. Once portrayed as the man to fill the void left behind by Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford, his below par performances and injuries have halted his growth. After failing to find a permanent club for the winger he was allowed to join Lisbon on a season long loan deal.
However, Nani has turned it around at Portugal. His performances have been top notch and the winger looks like he could once again challenge for a starting berth at Manchester United. His goal against Maribor last night was his fourth goal in the Champions League this season.
If he continues to play like this, a call back in January from Louis van Gaal will not be a surprise.
Here are some of the reactions from the Manchester Untied fans on Twitter.
