Norwich City opinion: 3 players the Canaries shouldn’t lose in the summer

Daniel Farke’s Norwich City secured the Championship title after an impressive campaign. The Canaries will now return to the Premier League where they will need to have another spectacular season to stay up at the end of next campaign.

The Canaries will need proper strengthening in the summer to have a realistic chance of a successful season in the top-flight but more importantly, they will have to keep their brilliant group of players at Carrow Road next season.

Here are 3 players who Norwich cannot afford to lose in the summer:

Ben Godfrey

Godfrey has had a brilliant season in the Championship for the Canaries and his performances this season have attracted a number of potential suitors. Manchester United, Arsenal, Lyon, and Liverpool are reportedly keen on a move for the 21-year-old, who is valued at £15million.

Godfrey barely played for the Canaries for the first few months of the season but since the game against Bolton in December, he has played every single minute and has been one of the biggest reasons why they are here.

Max Aarons

The teenager was a revelation under Daniel Farke this season and Norwich should make it a priority to not sell him in the summer. Aarons’ immense rise to stardom has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Aarons missed just 5 games in the Championship this season where he scored twice and assisted a six times from right-back. The 19-year-old has the potential to be one of the best in his position in the coming years and Norwich should not make the mistake of cashing in on him in the summer.

Teemu Pukki

Pukki arguably carried Norwich to the title as well as to promotion this season after an unbelievable campaign. The 29-year-old scored 29 goals and provided 10 more assists this season, and his goals will have a major say in Norwich’s chances of staying up next season.

A striker with close to 40 goal contribution is an attractive prospect to many clubs in the world but Norwich should hold off any possible approaches from any side in the summer.
