3 Players Chelsea Cannot Afford To Lose Next Season: Including This Belgian Struggler

Share

A new season and a new expectations are awaited at Stamford Bridge. While Guus Hiddink is set to leave the club and also John Terry, there is a lot of positivity at Chelsea with the news that Antonio Conte would be coming into the club.

This would also mean that certain players would not be fretting for their futures in the side as the normal merry go round of players leaving and coming will take place but Chelsea do have some stars that they should not get rid of.

Here are three players that Chelsea should keep no matter what-

Diego Costa

The Spanish striker was a poor-poor player at the start of the season, but he did get back to his old scoring ways by the time Guus Hiddink came in. Costa is the only good striker that Chelsea have at the moment and letting him leave would be one of the worst mistakes they will make next season.

The 27-year-old is one of the toughest strikers out there and even in a bad season for the Blues, Costa has scored 15 goals, most of which came after Jose Mourinho left. Sure, he does have his shortcomings, but every player does, barring Messi of course. Costa would be incredible under Conte and could become one of the best strikers in the country again.

Eden Hazard

A player who just could not find the back of the net till the last few games of the season. The stock of Eden Hazard has hit rock bottom and the Belgian has been linked with a move to PSG of all places. Hazard should forget about this deal and stick with the team in London.

You don’t go bad so quickly and Hazard had been one of the best players at Stamford Bridge ever since he joined from Lille. Hazard is still 25 at the moment and he does have time to get better. He might not turn into Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but he could regain his form under Conte and the Italian manager should make a team with Hazard as one of the most important players in the XI.

Cesc Fabregas

The Spanish midfielder was accused of being the player who brought down the Jose empire, but Cesc did refute those claims. The 29-year-old might not have age on his side, but he is one of the best passers of the ball in the Premier League and selling him would be a big mistake

We have already spoken how he could partner Nemanja Matic, and Radja Nainggolan in midfield, when Radja is signed from Roma and what a midfield that would be. Cesc has the vision, Matic is the tough enforcer and Radja is the runner who makes things happen. That is a midfield worth having and Cesc could be the important fulcrum in the Chelsea team next season.
