3 Manchester United Youngsters Mourinho Should Promote To The First Team This Season

Share

Jose Mourinho recently stated that he had seen the growth of 49 young players under him and they all succeeded from the youth academy, while we all do know how that went or did not go as planned by Mourinho, Manchester United do have a lot of quality youngsters in their side and it would be no surprise if they do turn to youthful exuberance during this season.

Ex-manager Louis van Gaal certainly did that during his time as stars such as Marcus Rashford and Tim Fosu-Mensah made a name for themselves and it would not be a surprise if a few more do the same, if Jose gives them a chance.

We look at three stars that are waiting in the wings to show that they too can do a great job for the first team and they should be promoted by Jose.

Axel Tuanzebe

Probably one of the best centre-backs to have come out of the Manchester United youth academy, there are great hopes for the youngster and the fact that he has been on the bench in a few senior squad games gives some hope that he might have a chance of playing in a few games regularly as well.

Axel has been at United since he was 11 and although he might not be the finished product, he does have all the characteristics to make it big at the Old Trafford club. Tuanzebe might have a chance of doing well in the preseason tours and that could open a number of doors for him at Manchester United.

Tyrell Warren

It isn’t every day that Jose Mourinho states your name and you are expected to play for the side. Granted it is still preseason but Warren is just one name that might have a great future at Manchester United next season, if he is given a chance that is.

The 18-year-old is another right-back who is adept at playing in the heart of the defence as well. The funny thing is the defender can also play as a left-back, his versatility knows no bounds it seems. Warren though also has to play regularly if he is to reach the top levels of the sport and he still has time to develop and grow and it will be interesting to see just how he does under Mourinho in preseason.

Callum Gribbin

A star in the making, many claim that Gribbin is the best attacking midfielder that Manchester United have produced since the days of Ravel Morrison, well we all know that Morrison was extremely talented and it is the same attitude problem that Gribbin might have as well.

Gribbin is brilliant with his left foot and is known for his dribbling and accuracy with his shooting also. He has often trained with the senior side but this could be the year when he actually makes it out of the youth team, he is too good to stay there at the moment.
