While Depoitre might be an unknown to the Premier League aficionados, they will certainly remember that Tottenham tried to sign Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion in June but failed to complete the deal. West Brom would be looking for a hefty transfer fee for the young striker, but Berahino hasn’t shown the same ability that he showed before the whole transfer saga, he probably wouldn’t start every game for Spurs as well. Depoitre would come at a snip; some have touted the transfer fee to be around £7 million in January that should be a gamble worth taking.
