2 Players Who Could Leave Manchester United In January

Manchester United have been one of the most consistent sides in the Premier League this season, yet find themselves 11 points off the top of the points table. Jose Mourinho has already spent a fortune on players in his time at Old Trafford but is still evidently unhappy with the quality at his disposal and will look to reshape his squad in January.

There might not be too many star purchases but United could surely end up losing players in the transfer market, some on sale and some on loan. Here are two such players that might not be at the club for the second half of the season.

Luke Shaw

The English full-back, who currently earns £70,000-a-week was touted to be the next best thing in England but his move to Manchester United in 2014 turned out to be his undoing. He has failed to establish himself in the first team, partly due to injuries and partly due to lack of trust from managers at Old Trafford. However, he has been available for most of the current season but has made just one start each in the Premier League and the Champions League and has constantly been linked with an exit.

With United desperate for another left-back, Shaw has little future in Manchester and it might be time for him to look for a new club. Mourinho might not want to let him leave in the middle of a season but at 22, Shaw needs as much time on the field as possible and is sure to look for it elsewhere in January.

Scott McTominay

The 21-year old attacker is one of the most exciting talents coming out of Old Trafford at the moment but the quality in the first team has seen the youngster struggle for first-team opportunities. Even at his age, he is ready for the Premier League and has proved it in the past. It might be best for the Red Devils to send him out on loan, which could give him some much-needed experience. He is being targeted by Leeds United.

He has 7 appearances in all competitions this season and has started at least a game in each competition but with United fighting for some of the finest honours in Europe, McTominay is not expected to get too many minutes. So it might be best for all parties to send him out on loan in January.
